During the progress of improving or implementing a service or product, the organization should break the whole job into smaller iterative chunks so that it will be easier to manage them and also easier to receive parts of results. Those iterations could be sequential or simultaneous. It’s also important the whole progress and its iterations continuously are reviewed for their effect on values and maybe replanning the progress.

The role of feedback

It should be noticed, that the progress of implementing or improving a service or product is such dynamic progress so the needs of customers and stakeholders could be changed during the activity and even be removed. Therefore it a continuous feedbacking system should exist to receive and analyse the ideas and needs of customers to be able to consider them in replanning the activities and iterations.

Iteration and feedback together

Keeping two concepts of iteration and feedback together, facilitates faster reaction, more quality, more flexibility, and better disaster recovery capabilities.

Applying the principle

In addition to the concepts mentioned above, there are some important notes to be noticed in order to apply this principle successfully. Instead of discovering everything, that would be more useful if we do something. Keep in mind that the big picture would be enough.

Iteration should convert the job into simple quick jobs that each one makes viable and applicable products. Doing a job quickly doesn’t mean that the output is incomplete.
